Tyson Fury has given his thoughts on Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk.

Unable to face Anthony Joshua in his next fight, Tyson Fury has provided his opinion on whether his potential rival will get past likely next opponent, Oleksandr Usyk.

The Ukranian wizard is Joshua’s WBO mandatory challenger and talks regarding a possible meeting are still ongoing.

Fury, a student of the heavyweight division, faces a dangerous assignment himself on July 24th when he tackles Deontay Wilder for a third time, and although he enters that battle in bullish mood, he doesn’t feel the same way about Joshua's fight with Usyk.

Preparing for Wilder, Fury has provided his thoughts on the current heavyweight landscape in a chat with the Daily Mail

“I’m back on the Vegas Strip, in the first heavyweight trilogy fight since Holyfield-Bowe and Ali-Frazier before that, said Fury. “They knew all along that the legal arbitration was in process and now they’re left with Joshua stuck between a rock and a hard place.

“They’ve done it to themselves. You can see they know that by all the whining in their interviews. I don’t think they fancy the Ukrainian guy for the fight he needs in August. And with their DAZN deal it looks now as if that will be their last fight with Joshua.

“Usyk is a southpaw, clever, technically very good. He’s smaller as a former cruiserweight champion but he handled Derek Chisora, who is physically tougher than Joshua. So, while I’m absolutely confident of beating Wilder, I’m not so sure about AJ not losing his fight.”
