Tyson Fury has once again announced his retirement from boxing.
Fury has decided to quit the sport on a number of occasions, but the most recent forceful example was in the aftermath of his title defence against Dillian Whyte back in April.
He maintained he would not fight again in competitive boxing, but in recent weeks he has suggested he would take on erstwhile companion Derek Chisora, but it appears that bout has fallen through.
The 34-year-old WBC champion has not been stripped of his title as the governing body - and others - still believe he may be roused into fighting once more against the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua.
"On my 34th birthday I say bon voyage," Fury tweeted on Friday.
"Massive thanks to everyone who had an input in my career over the years and, after long hard conversations, I've finally decided to walk away."
He continued: "See you all on the other side you big dossers 2008-2022."
Fury has suggested he could face UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a hybrid rules event, while a return to WWE has been put forward as another option.
