Tyson Fury reveals 'what means everything to me' ahead of Oleksandr Usyk clashDAZN
The WBC fighter could become undisputed on Saturday.

Tyson Fury is treating his fight with Oleksandr Usyk just the same as he always does.

In 34 fights, Fury has won world championships, provided huge moments of entertainment and achievement, and has also suffered devastating lows outside the ring.

This Saturday, he fights Ukrainian unified world champion Usyk in Riyadh, live on DAZN PPV. The winner will be the first-ever undisputed heavyweight world champion in the four-belt era.

Despite that pressure, the scale of the task and the potential glory ahead of him, Fury sees the fight as routine.

Asked if it felt different, he told DAZN: “It never does, it’s just a boxing match. It’s always the same. You get to fight week, and you’re ready to have a scrap.

“If I’m not ready now, I’m never going to be. I’ve been in camp forever. I’ve had a good camp. I’m not complaining, I never do. We’re here to rock ‘n’ roll.

“I'm never not training. Whether I’m fat, thin, I'm in the gym at least once a day, mostly twice a day. For me, it’s just training. The only thing is I dial it up and down whether I’m in camp or not.

“It makes no difference. You can be skinny or fat, it’s all about how you perform on the night. Having a six pack does not mean you can fight. Being a fat ****, I’ve got to 34-0. As long as you’re fit enough to do the rounds, which I always am, then it’s never been a problem."

Discussing the chance of becoming undisputed, Fury acknowledged the unprecedented nature of the event, but quickly played down its significance to him: “Nobody has won them all together in 30 years, that’s why it’s so big.

“Let me tell you, what means everything to me is waking up in the morning. Because the day that doesn't happen is the day you’re ******.

“A boxing match is a boxing match. You get paid, you get laid, you get out of there.

“When I fight this week, I’ll go back to Morecambe, I’ll be walking my dog. I’ll put my 30-foot gates closed and I don’t want to see anybody. I don’t want pats on the back, I’m not interested.

"Nothing changes for me. You could give me £20 billion and it wouldn’t change, because I’m already content with what I am, who I am, and what I’ve done. Happy.”
