The heavyweight champions are expected to fight for the first time this summer.

Eddie Hearn believes that a contract for the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight is now ready to be signed.

Hearn was speaking to IFL TV about his planned schedule for the next few months, and admitted that Top Rank chief Bob Arum was correct to suggest a deal would be imminently announced.

The Matchroom promoter explained that any delay was now due to various parties needing to sign the contract, with more people on Fury’s side needing to give their authorisation for the two-fight deal.

Hearn said: “To be honest with you we’re really waiting on their signatures now.

“The issue is there’s about four or five people that’ve gotta sign their contract and much fewer that have gotta sign our contract.

“So we’re in a good place, everything seems to be agreed.

“Now the proof will be in the pudding when those parties sign the contract, we’re ready to sign the contract.

“We’ve said to them, ‘Go round and get all your signatures because there’s so many of them and we’re ready.’

“We sign the contract immediately when we have those and the fight’s up and running.

“As of yet there’s no deal because they haven’t put pen to paper, but I believe that is inevitable.

“They’ve got like four-five people to sign it and from our side it’s us: AJ and Matchroom.

“We’re ready, we’re ready to sign that contract.

“It’s the natural process of getting Tyson Fury, getting Bob Arum, getting Frank Warren, getting MTK, on the different timezones to get that over the line.

“This is where it gets interesting because we’re there.

“Off you go, pen to paper, let’s crack on.”

Hearn also announced that he expects WBC champion Devin Haney to fight Vasiliy Lomachenko or Jorge Linares in May.
