A big heavyweight fight could happen this year.
Jermaine Franklin knows what it takes to step into the ring with both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, but he’s struggling to pick a winner between the pair.

A former sparring partner of Fury, Franklin fought Joshua last year and competed very well before losing on the scorecards.

Since that night, Joshua has continued to rebuild and last week, he scored an impressive stoppage over Francis Ngannou.

That has led to many people wanting to see Joshua face Fury, who takes on Oleksandr Usyk on May 18, and if the current WBC ruler can win that fight, then him and Joshua could go down very soon.

“To me, Fury vs Joshua is still a 50/50 fight,” said Franklin when speaking on the matter with World Boxing News

“We know Fury can get knocked down, and we know Joshua has good power. Also, Fury has great timing, so he can move and avoid punches.

“When I sparred with Fury, he had excellent timing with his punches. But I stood up to his power when I fought Joshua and gave him some smoke.

“I think the winner of the fight is the fighter who dictates the pace of the fight. He will be the one who gets the job done.”
