Tyson Fury has been on the receiving end of severe criticism since edging past Francis Ngannou last weekend and now Andy Murray has had his say on the controversial fight.
Fury was dropped in the fight’s third round, and he faced many more tough moments before escaping with his unbeaten record via split decision.
The fight was intended to be the platform for Fury to head into an undisputed battle with Oleksandr Usyk on December 23, but that bout is now off with next year being the alternative target.
Andy Murray, one of the best tennis players of his generation, watched the contest and he’s hit out at Fury’s performance and the sport of boxing.
“How many points would the world no1 squash player win vs the world number 1 tennis player in a tennis match and vice versa?” asked Murray on X.
“I'm thinking close to zero for both. Bad look for boxing.”
