Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou: Eddie Hearn questions result - and Fury's chin

Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou: Eddie Hearn questions result - and Fury's chinDAZN
The Briton won last night in controversial circumstances.

Eddie Hearn believes that Francis Ngannou was the real winner in his match against Tyson Fury.

The former UFC man sent Fury to the canvas in the third round and for many there was disbelief when the WBC champion was awarded the victory on a split decision from the judges.

Fury acknowledged that Ngannou was a better fighter than he had anticipated, but looked ahead to a clash with Oleksandr Usyk as the two heavyweight champions faced off in the ring after the fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Speaking to DAZN in Mexico, Hearn claimed that it was the Cameroonian who was the victor.

“You have one guy who never boxed before and another who looked like he never boxed before,” he said.

“A complete novice, in everyone’s view, beat Tyson Fury. Ngannou won that fight. He just beat the lineal heavyweight champion, as crazy as that sounds to say."

Hearn even suggested that Fury’s feted chin might have gone after seeing the blow that put the Briton on his back early on.

“I watched it back, didn’t even look like a big shot,” added Hearn. “I don’t know if his resistance is gone.”
