Frank Warren has been at the side of Tyson Fury for many big fights, and he’ll be right next to him when he faces Oleksandr Usyk later this month.
The pair clash for undisputed glory at heavyweight and it’s a bout that Fury enters with his British promoter confidently backing him.
Last October, Fury was almost embarrassed by Francis Ngannou when he was dropped before winning narrowly on the scorecards.
His original date with Usyk was intended for February, but a cut in sparring meant the fight was put back to May 18. Warren, a Hall of Fame promoter, has had his say on the upcoming battle.
"I'm confident we are going to get a vintage performance. I spoke to him during the week,” said Warren when speaking to Talksport.
"He's in a very good shape I think, and although he had that cut it has come good as he has had back-to-back camps.
"Physically I have never seen him look so well. The worry was going straight into a training camp was that he'd peak too soon.
"He has worked really hard so that he is in his best nick on May 18. I just feel he is going to put on a magnificent performance and stop Usyk."
