The upcoming Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight has the entire sporting world excited and that includes former England winger, John Barnes.
Undoubtedly one of Liverpool’s greatest ever players, Barnes, one of the game’s sharpest analysts, will have his eyes on the boxing world on February 17 when Fury and Usyk finally go at it to decide the world’s best heavyweight.
Last month, Fury almost suffered an embarrassing loss when he was dropped by Francis Ngannou before winning via split decision.
The performance may have given Usyk a huge confidence boost but although there’s some concern regarding Fury’s form, Barnes is still backing the WBC champion to get the job done.
“Fury will have to get fitter than he did for his last one against the MMA fighter,” said Barnes when speaking exclusively to DAZN via Plinko on Casino.guide
“A fantastic little man can't beat a brilliant big man, so I’d be surprised if Usyk wins but it really does depend on which Tyson turns up.
“I think Tyson will be too big for him. Depending on how fit and committed he is, and I’m sure he will be, I expect him to win.”
