Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - Olympic star makes plea to be Fury's sparring partner for undisputed clashDAZN
One fighter is keen to learn from the WBC champion.

Richard Torrez’s career might not move quick enough for him to one day fight Tyson Fury, but the American prospect is eager to step into the ring with WBC champion as his sparring partner.

Fury is likely to receive the sternest test of his career next year when he faces Oleksandr Usyk on February 17 and Torrez is eager to be a part of his camp.

Torrez burst onto the scene at the 2020 Olympics when he won a silver medal, and his professional career is off to a great start with seven stoppages from the same amount of fights.

Torrez returns to the ring this weekend to face Curtis Harper and he’s ready to jump on a plane and assist Fury immediately afterwards.

"I would love to. If he could invite me to do some sparring, I'd love that,” said Torrez on the possibility of training with Fury when speaking to Sky Sports

"Tyson Fury, please invite me over. I'm more than willing to come out and be a sparring partner. I'd love to get some of that work in.

"When I was 18, he reached out to me on Instagram, he wrote to me and said, 'I like your style, keep it going, good stuff'. That was so cool. He was already a heavyweight champ. He reached out to me, and I wasn't even known at all.”
