Tyson Fury meets Oleksandr Usyk this weekend and Teddy Atlas is finding it hard to go against the brilliant Ukrainian.
The pair meet on May 18, live on DAZN PPV, and the winner will be undisputed heavyweight champion with all four world titles.
Atlas, one of the shrewdest voices on the sport, spoke about the fight last year in the aftermath of Fury’s controversial win over Francis Ngannou.
Fury climbed off the floor to win on points and Atlas gave his verdict on a Fury vs. Usyk bout.
“How do you go against Usyk since he won the gold medal, unified the cruiserweight titles, stepped up to heavyweight, won the titles?” asked Atlas when speaking to ProBox TV at the backend of 2023.
“Everybody was checking the boxes of all the advantages that Fury had over Usyk. He’s bigger, he can fight on the outside, he can fight on the inside.
“Everybody loves Fury. From the beginning, before this, I can’t go against Usyk.”
