The wait appears to be over.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have agreed an undisputed fight after months of negotiations.

Queensberry Promotions - Fury’s British co-promoter, and Fury himself tweeted that a deal had been signed, ending months of speculation. The fight will go ahead at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia.

Ukraine’s Usyk recently defeated Daniel Dubois to retain his unified status as WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion, while Fury last fought in December, beating Derek Chisora in a trilogy rematch.

Fury’s next fight is on October 28, against former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, but his WBC championship is not on the line.

While it is a professional fight, there are rumours that a clash in Saudi Arabia between Fury and Usyk could take place before the end of 2023, or in early 2024.

“Delighted to finally get this fight signed,” said Frank Warren of Queensberry.
