WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has told his brother Tommy Fury that he will have to retire from boxing and change his name if loses to internet star Jake Paul.
Following his win over Tyron Woodley, Paul has expressed a desire to face a 'proper' boxer in his next fight and as a result called out the unbeaten champ's younger brother.
Tyson labelled a potential fight between Paul and his brother a 'spectacle', but insists Tommy needs to comprehensively beat the YouTube star if he has any desire to become a world champion in his own right.
"I think the fight needs to happen – Tommy and Jake will get the fight done," Tyson told Boxing Social.
"If Tommy can't splatter Jake Paul, I'll retire him from boxing myself. If he can't beat Jake Paul, forget about boxing. Because he's got ambitions of being a world champion, never mind beating some YouTube guy."
While Tyson is excited for the event, he fully expects his brother to win the fight and has now placed an ultimatum if he fails to get past the YouTuber turned boxer.
"It's a great fight to watch, it's a spectacle. But Tommy – his name's Fury. If he can't beat Jake Paul, I'll have to change his name."
