WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has warned Anthony Joshua that he is "interested in smashing your face in" in response to a suggestion he should move to Matchroom.

Tyson Fury has told Anthony Joshua that he is “only interested in smashing your face in” after the four-belt champion suggested he join him at Matchroom.

Joshua is a client of Eddie Hearn’s promotional company and told the Mail on Sunday that the WBC heavyweight champion should consider moving away. Fury is currently linked with MTK, Frank Warren and Bob Arum.

"I do think he should come over to Matchroom and 258 Management and let us handle his career," Joshua said.

"He's a superstar, he's a superstar in the making with the right management. He could go all the way."

In response, Fury sent him a rejection on Twitter on Monday.

He posted: “@anthonyfjoshua has it ever dawned on you I'm not interested in being a superstar, or famous. I'm a fighting man & only interested in smashing your face in, u keep the stardom, I'll stay real, #youbigdosser I'm coming for u superstar, tick tock tick tock."

Joshua is due to fight IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on 12 December, and assuming he retains his belts, he is expected to face Fury twice next year.

Financial terms have already been agreed between the camps, though Oleksandr Usyk has a claim for a mandatory challenge from the WBO, and Fury’s contract for a third fight with Deontay Wilder has gone to arbitration.
