Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has revealed that Derek Chisora has been approached by Tyson Fury's team regarding a trilogy fight.

Chisora and Fury have gone head-to-head twice before in 2011 and 2014, with Fury emerging victorious on both occasions.

Now despite claims that he is retired, WBC champion Fury is allegedly interested in facing the heavyweight veteran for a third time.

“I think someone from Tyson’s team reached out to Chisora about fighting him in December now," Hearn told IFL TV.

“Who knows whether he’s gonna come back? I don’t know.

“But that fight [Fury vs Joshua] is massive – win or lose for AJ on August 20, that fight’s always massive.

“I believe that AJ vs Fury will happen, regardless of August 20.

“But if and when AJ wins, it’s the biggest fight in the history of the sport.”

Chisora was last in action on July 9 when he beat Bulgaria's Kubrat Pulev in a rematch at London's O2 Arena on DAZN
