The former two-weight UFC champion wants to see Ngannou make one key improvement.

Former two-weight UFC champion Daniel Cormier is confident that Francis Ngannou can beat Anthony Joshua when the pair meet in Riyadh later this year.

It has been announced that the two heavyweights will meet at some point in 2024 in what is already one of the biggest fights of the year, and Ngannou's second contest as a professional boxer.

Following a strong performance against WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in October, Ngannou has shown that he can hold his own with some of the best operators in the heavyweight divsion.

But now Ngannou comes up against a resurging Joshua who made a statement in his stoppage win over Otto Wallin in Dcember, and Cormier believes that if the Cameroonian is to upset the odds and beat the former world heavyweight champion, he will need adopt a more aggressive approach compared to his clash with Fury.

“For him to win, he’s got to do what he did last time, but he’s got to be a little more ferocious in his approach,” Cormier said on his YouTube channel when explaining how Ngannou can beat Joshua.

“Because I really do believe that if he approaches this fight with bad intent and he goes out there and he’s swinging and he’s a little bit reckless, I believe he will make Joshua fight in such a way that it will limit all of these skills that he’s built over a lifetime. I think Francis has a chance, and I think Francis can get it done.”
