Crawford returns next month.

Israil Madrimov is a huge admirer of Terence Crawford, but he’s reminded the Nebraska man that he’s the fighter who's done more at 154lbs.

Crawford will jump up in weight when he tackles Madrimov on August 3, live on DAZN, from Los Angeles.

Crawford is moving up over a year after becoming undisputed welterweight. Hampion with a dominant win against Errol Spence.

Speculation has linked Crawford to a showdown with Canelo Alvarez in the near future, but Madrimov faces him first and he’s full of confidence.

“He’s a great fighter. All around, he has every tool, but I feel like this is my division,” said Madrimov when speaking to BoxingScene

“I fought at a higher weight class in the amateurs, and since I’ve turned pro at 154, every fight has been big. I had six final eliminators.

“What everyone’s saying about experience, my 11 fights in the pros is not the same as everyone else. This is my division. He’s moving up. I know he has all the skills, but it’s my division and it’s my time.”
