The unified world lightweight champion wants the Teofimo Lopez Jr. fight, before looking ahead to possibly Gervonta Davis or Devin Haney next.

Vasiliy Lomachenko wants nothing more than a lightweight title unification bout with Teofimo Lopez Jr. After all, with Loma holding the WBA "Super"/WBO titles, snatching Lopez's IBF strap would bring him one step closer to being crowned undisputed lightweight champion of the world.

That being said, there are a few more opponents in the exciting lightweight division that have piqued Lomachenko's interest — namely WBA "Regular" champion Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney.

During a recent interview with Top Rank's Crystina Poncher, Lomachenko tackled fan questions and didn't hold back when either lightweight star's name was broached.

When a fan asked if he thinks Davis will fight him, Lomachenko said Davis' promoters wouldn't give the bout a green light.

“Right now, I don’t think he’s going to fight me," Lomachenko said. "He might want to fight me, but his promoters are not going to let him. Aside from him, that weight class is getting very interesting. We have a lot of good names in the weight class. Not (just) the champions, but they are in the rankings. So I think it’s a hard weight division."

And that brought Lomachenko to Haney. The two have jabbed at each other via social media, and Loma wants "The Dream" to know that he's ready for him.

“Yes, DAZN posted something about Haney, and he said he would knock me out. So that is why I answered him, ‘Hey, listen, are you serious?’ He has not fought anybody and now he is saying he is going to knock me out? I said, ‘No problem, let’s do it,’" Lomachenko explained about the origins of their growing tension. "Then he answered me right away saying, ‘Yes, we can do it.’ I said, ‘OK, I am ready.’ He knows I am ready.

"I think he is ready, and we can give the fight for the fans that everybody wants," he continued. "That is why I mentioned before that this is a very interesting weight class with big names and good names coming to the weight class.”

Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs), 32, is considerably older than the 25-year-old Davis (23-0, 22 KOs) and 21-year-old Haney (24-0, 15 KOs), with less pro experience. That being said, Lomachenko is widely regarded as arguably the best pound-for-pound boxer today with the likes of Terence Crawford and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to name a few. So, a fight pitting Lomachenko's skills against either Davis or Haney would be bound to thrill.

Loma last fought in August, when he scored a unanimous decision over Luke Campbell.
