It will be his first action since losing his lightweight titles to Teofimo Lopez Jr. last October.

Vasiliy Lomachenko will have his first fight in nine months when he takes on Japan's Masayoshi Nakatani on June 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the fighter himself has confirmed on social media.

Lomachenko hasn't competed since he suffered his second professional loss last October to Teofimo Lopez in a contest which saw Lopez unify most of the lightweight division's titles.

The Ukrainian Tweeted the date shortly after many media sources reported the story, seemingly confirming the news.

Nakatani is 19-1 with 13 knockouts to his name, and is a ranked lightweight contender by many sanctioning bodies. His first 17 professional outings all took place in his homeland before he headed Stateside to Oxon Hill for his only loss so far, also to Lopez.

The 32-year-old bounced back by claiming his first victory on American soil, knocking out Felix Verjedo in the ninth round at the MGM Grand in Vegas on Dec. 12. The Lomachenko fight will take place not far from there, at the Virgin Hotels resort just off the strip and behind the MGM.
