Vergil Ortiz returns to action next month when he looks to make a big impact at 154lbs against Serhii Bohachuk, live on DAZN.
The unbeaten Texan will be aiming to maintain his impressive stoppage streak and he’s also looking forward to bigger fights.
Ortiz has impressed throughout his career and a win against Bohachuk will put him in a prosperous position.
Super-welterweight is a division on the rise and Ortiz wants to test himself against Tim Tszyu, a fighter he was close to meeting in August before the Australian pulled out due to injury.
“Not looking past this hard-a-- fight I’ve got in front of me, it still happens, it’s going to happen,” said Ortiz when speaking to Fight Hub TV regarding a potential Tszyu clash.
“We were going to take the Tim [Tszyu] fight even after he lost because we know it’s a good fight. Just because he lost it doesn’t take away from him as a fighter.
“If I lose this one, not saying I am, but God forbid it does happen, that fight with Tim is still going to happen.”
