Otto Wallin will defeat Anthony Joshua on points if he ever gets the chance to share the ring with the former world heavyweight champion.
That’s the verdict of Dmitry Salita, Wallin’s promoter, who is eager to see his man receive another big opportunity after providing Tyson Fury with a tough test back in 2019.
Since losing to the current WBC champion on points, Wallin has struggled to land further big fights with his best win in recent times coming against Dominic Breazeale.
The Swedish contender is ready to mix it at the highest level again, and Salita believes his man has what it takes to get the 2012 Olympic gold medallist.
"It’s (Joshua vs. Wallin) a very interesting fight,” said Salita when speaking with Vegas Insider. "Joshua is obviously one of the elite guys in the division. Does he still have what is necessary to compete at an elite level?
"Otto wants to be heavyweight champ and showed he is world class in his fight vs. Tyson and subsequent quality wins after that.
"I pick my guy Otto to win by UD. Otto is smart, focused, has a very good chin and is still very fresh. He did not have too many fights where he took punishment."
