A huge boxing event could be coming to Wembley Stadium later this year and it doesn't involve a Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight.
The home of English football has staged numerous boxing events in recent years including blockbusters featuring the likes of Fury, Joshua, and Carl Froch.
Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh has previously discussed the possibility of a show at Wembley and Frank Warren, who has been working with Alalshikh, has added more to it.
Warren has stated that it doesn't involve Fury vs. Joshua, but he has provided the reasons behind the show with the Riyadh Season October launch being earmarked.
"As you know there have been some fabulous events in Saudi for the Riyadh Season," said the Hall of Fame promoter when speaking on talkSPORT.
“They're events that to be quite honest we could never put on here. They're just too expensive, it would not work, the books wouldn't balance.
"But obviously for Riyadh Season it's part of the multi-cultural events that take place there - sporting events, music events, etc. And what we're putting on at Wembley is basically gonna be an advert for the start of the Riyadh Season next October.”
