Who won the boxing last night? Elijah Pierce vs. Mike Plania

Elijah Pierce made a statement in the first Overtime Boxing event on DAZN when he knocked out Mike Plania in the third round of their super bantamweight contest. 

Pierce was off to a disappointing start, losing the first two rounds, but a thudding left hand dropped Plania with 53 seconds remaining in round three. 

Plania set the pace from the opening bell and despite picking up a cut across the forehead in the first, the Filipino continued to apply the pressure and often found succes with his left hook in the second. 

However, it was Pierce's left hand that proved the difference which extends his professional record to 18-2.
