<p>Thursday night saw John 'Scrappy' Ramirez enter unknown territory when he went the full distance for the first time in his career against Luis Padilla. </p>

<p>Ramirez's power proved too much for his opponent who got off to a slow start and was unable to gain any foothold during the 10 rounds.</p>

<p>'Scrappy' Ramirez was declared the winner on the judges' cards 100-90, 99-91 and 99-91 in what would have been a valuable experience for the American who moves to 11-0. </p>
