George Groves has delivered his verdict on who would win out of David Haye and Tyson Fury if both fighters were at their best.

Groves, a former world champion at 168lbs, entered the professional game under the supervision of both Haye and Adam Booth and he’s probably the fighter who has spent the most time with the two-weight ruler.

Haye and Fury were originally slated to meet in 2013 but the former withdrew from the contest after enduring an injury.

The fight was then rescheduled, but was met with the same fate as Haye stayed out of the ring for a further three years.

Despite the fight never materialising, the outcome remains a consistent talking point and Groves is the latest to have his say.

“I was in David Haye’s gym at the time when that fight was made,” said Haye when speaking to Neueonlinecasinos.io

“That fight was made several times, but Haye had to pull out once with a cut in the week of the fight, and at that point, if Haye was on form I’d have picked him to win that fight.

“Haye would be giving away a lot of natural size, but he’s got those lightning-fast hands and could definitely whack. I wouldn’t pick a prime David Haye over a prime Tyson Fury purely because of the size difference and he would be too smart.”
