William Zepeda secured his second victory of 2024 by defeating Giovanni Cabrera in Ontario, California on Saturday night.
After a good first round for Cabrera, Zepeda turned things on and unleashed an onslaught in the third round, dropping Cabrera with a liver shot to end the fight.
"I'm grateful for all the opportunities they are giving me," Zepeda said after the fight, before calling for a world title fight next. "Let's go to the Ukraine, let's take that belt from [Vasiliy] Lomachenko."
Zepeda put his undefeated record on the line and came into the fight following recent wins over Joseph Diaz, Mercito Gesta, and Maxi Hughes.
“I have but one goal and that is to become a world champion, and every fight gets me closer to that goal,” said Zepeda before the fight.
