WBC super lightweight champion Regis Prograis is currently preparing for the biggest fight of his career so far.
On December 9, the New Orleans native will take on former undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney in what is set to be a huge clash live on DAZN and DAZN PPV.
This contest is the culmination of what has been a long road back to the top for Prograis after losing narrowly to Josh Taylor in 2019, and ahead of this meeting with Haney, Prograis looked back on his career and revealed which fight gave him the 'big break' in his boxing career.
"My first big break was when I fought Joel Diaz, he was supposed to beat me," Prograis told Chris Mannix on DAZN's Off the Cuff.
"At the time I was 19-0, 16 knockouts, he was 21-0 with 19 knockouts, I stopped him in two rounds.
"Then after that I had a break because I bust my eye in sparring one time so I was out for like nine months, and then I fought Indongo, I was supposed to fight Viktor Postol.
"Indongo had just fought Crawford for undisputed and Crawford stopped him in three rounds, then that was big because I stopped him in two rounds.
"Then after that I fought another fight in New Orleans and went to the tournament.
"So for me I think the Indongo fight really opened people’s eyes."
