There is an undisputed title fight set to take place in Tokyo and it involves one of boxing's most entertaining fighters.

Mexico's Luis Nery is showing no signs of fear ahead of his undisputed super bantamweight fight with "The Monster" Naoya Inoue.

Nery is a former two-weight world champion, but Inoue, who has fast become one of boxing's biggest stars, will be the toughest test of his career.

Inoue (26-0, 23 KOs) has frequently sent shockwaves around the globe with his often viral knockout wins and his most recent win over Marlon Tapales last December was no different.

A tenth round knockout against Tapales resulted in Inoue becoming just the second men's boxer after Terence Crawford to become an undisputed champion in two weight classes, and now he will make the first defence of his four super bantamweight belts against Nery on May 6 live on ESPN+ (US only).

The contest will take place at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, and speaking ahead of the showdown with Inoue, Nery is looking to use a moment of boxing legend Mike Tyson's career as inspiration for springing an upset.

“This is an important fight. It deserves to be in an arena that is just as important like the Tokyo Dome. And I think it’s a sign," Nery said.

"If Mike Tyson can lose his unbeaten record there, then so can Naoya Inoue. Now, Mike Tyson was actually a monster. He for sure was an assassin. So, I’m happy that they made the fight at Tokyo Dome.”

“I will win by knockout. There’s no other way. I know that either he or I will be stopped. But I’m sure that he will be stopped.”

One of Tyson's low points during his career came at the Tokyo Dome in 1990 when he suffered a shock knockout loss to James Douglas in what is considered one of the sport's biggest upsets.
