Tommy Fury will continue to face crossover boxers following his contest with Jake Paul which takes place this Sunday in Saudi Arabia.
That’s the plan being laid out by John Fury, Tommy’s father, and although there is a desire to see Fury compete for boxing’s biggest prizes, the elder Fury doesn’t want to take his son down that route just yet.
If victorious against Paul this weekend, Fury will find himself with plenty of options with his reputation set to soar if he can pull off the win.
Despite originally entering boxing to emulate his older brother, Tyson, Fury will seek an alternative route to glory, and it appears that his father already his next move mapped out.
"This sport it is a business," said John Fury when speaking with Mirror Fighting through FreeBets.com on his son’s future.
"It is about putting bums on seats and eyes on TV. Tommy will fight all those YouTubers and all those reality TV stars and once he is cleaned up that board he will move on to traditional boxing.
"I will even introduce him to wrestling in a minute just like Tyson did, I will get him boxing wrestlers. This is the game we are in to give people entertainment and pleasure. I’m looking forward to Tommy knocking out Jake Paul, the fraudster.”
