An entertaining X Series 017 event ended with a draw in the main event.
Social media star Danny Aarons took on former Leicester City player Danny Simpson, who put his Premier League winner's medal on the line in his boxing debut.
The retired footballer looked the better of the two men early as he dictated a fast-paced bout in the opening round. Simpson's enthusiasm and aggression was eventually matched by Aarons, 15 years his junior, who was in the ascendency towards the end of the four-round fight.
There was so little between the fighters that the judges scored the bout 38-38, 39-37 (Aarons) and 39-37 (Simpson).
It was a fitting result, with both men indicating that they would be open to a rematch down the line.
