Anthony Joshua has the opportunity to pursue a second meeting with Daniel Dubois, but one heavyweight contender believes it’s the wrong move for the British fighter.
Last month, Joshua was dropped four times before being stopped by Dubois and there’s been some speculation that has linked him to a second meeting with the IBF champion.
As well as a sequel against Dubois, Joshua has also been mooted as a potential opponent for Tyson Fury depending on the outcome of his December 21 rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua is currently enjoying a break from the sport following a busy period that has seen him fight five times since April 2023.
His next move is still undecided, but those close to him and members of his promotional team have expressed an interest in Joshua pursuing Dubois for another world title fight.

Zhilei Zhang, fresh from destroying Deontay Wilder in June, has long wanted to test himself against Joshua and, although that fight appears unlikely to happen, he has warned his former amateur rival to avoid facing Dubois again.
“If you’re going to a rematch like that, I don’t think it’s a good thing. I think it’s a career-ending rematch if he takes that route,” said Zhang when speaking to Seconds Out .
One contest Zhang wouldn't rule out for Joshua was a long-awaited clash against Wilder. Both former champions could do with a high profile win to rebuild themselves and settling their lengthy feud could be one way to go.
“I’ve heard people say that he has one loss, and Deontay Wilder has one loss recently. So, I think maybe that’s a fight to put together to think about, but I really don’t know. It’s a question only he [Joshua] can answer based on his own experience."
