The Indian Premier League (IPL) is by far the biggest T20 tournament in the world and it's 16th season is set to start later this week.
This competition is unlike any other and attracts some of the biggest names in cricket who will compete for a place in May's final.
The defending champions are the Gujarat Titans who managed to lift the iconic trophy in their maiden season and will have their sights set on back-to-back titles.

The opening game of this year's IPL is scheduled for Friday, March 31 and will see defending champions Gujarat Titans take on the Chennai Super Kings. The match is set to get underway at 3 p.m. BST.
IPL 2023 tournament schedule
Starting on March 31, all 10 teams will play each other home and away with the final game set for May 21 when Royal Challengers Bangalore face the Gujarat Titans.
The top four teams will then battle it out for place in the final, the full schedule for the knockout stage can be found below.

- Eliminator: Third place vs. fourth place
- Qualifier 2: Loser of Q1 vs. Eliminator winner
Dates for the above matches are yet to be confirmed, but the final will take place on Sunday, May 28.
