The Premier League Darts champion was crowned on Thursday night.

Luke Littler continues to take the darts world by storm after his success in Thursday's Premier League play-offs.

Littler reached the final four of this year's tournament in what was his debut campaign, and following wins over Michael Smith and reigning world champion Luke Humphries in the semi-finals and final respectively, the 17-year-old was crowned the Premier League champion.

It's not just winning his second PDC major title which made it a memorable night for Littler, but he also managed to hit a nine-dart finish in the final against Humphries which sent the 14,000 fans in attendance at London's O2 Arena into a frenzy.

There is no surprise that darts is experiencing a huge surge in popularity following Littler's success and darts legend Dennis Preistley believes the impact he is having on the sport is similar to that of Mike Tyson when he quickly became a huge star in boxing.

"Luke Littler has burst onto the scene like a young Mike Tyson, who would often beat his opponents on fear alone," Preistly told BestAnonymousCasinos.

"There is that fear factor around Littler already which comes from the way he is playing and the way he is winning."
