There were plenty of takeaways from the latest round of NFL action.

With just six weeks remaining until the end of the 2023 NFL regular season, the race is heating up for those playoff spots.

As expected, with this increase in intensity, there is plenty of drama.

DAZN takes a look at five talking points from Week 11.

Joe Burrow injured, are the Cincinnati Bengals out of the playoff race?

For the Cincinnati Bengals, an injury to star quarterback Joe Burrow could not have come at a worse time.

The 24-year-old was forced off the field in his team's 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens after injuring his wrist and will miss the rest of the season due to surgery.

The Bengals had an outside shot of reaching the playoffs after winning four of their last five games, but this loss to the Ravens puts them bottom of a tough AFC North and with backup QB Jake Browning under centre, it's an uphill task for the Bengals if they are to see any postseason action.

Cracks in the Kansas City Chiefs offense?

The biggest game of Week 11 was by far the Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

The Eagles got revenge at Arrowhead with a 21-17 win and once again, it was the Chiefs offense which failed to deliver on the big stage.

Patrick Mahomes is between a rock and a hard place when it comes to making things happen, and while he is managing to still produce eye-catching plays, it is those around him who are letting the team down.

A crucial Travis Kelce fumble in the red zone and a dropped touchdown pass by Marquez Valdes-Scantling are just some of the instances which could have secured the win for the Chiefs, but instead they now drop to the number two seed in the AFC and need the Baltimore Ravens to slip up in order to return to the number one spot.

However, if the Chiefs offense continues to stumble through the games, their chances of making a deep playoff run are in jeopardy.

Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers are back

The San Francisco 49ers came flying out the traps at the start of the 2023 season.

Winning their first five games with an offense firing on all cylinders, many were backing them to be the NFC's number one seed. But then came a worrying blip which resulted in three back-to-back losses.

As a result of this dip in form, questions started being asked about whether an offense led by Purdy was Super Bowl and NFC Championship game worthy, however a bye in Week Nine has proven vital with the 49ers looking back to their best.

Week 11 saw them beat the Tampa Bat Buccaneers 27-14, but it was Purdy who stole the headlines with a 158.3 passer rating marking him as perfect.

Now the question whether he can deliver something similar in this crucial stage of the regular season with the 49ers still to play the Eagles, Ravens, and two division rivals in the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams before a potential playoff run.

The Los Angeles Chargers are in disarray

If you asked at the start of the season whether the Los Angeles Chargers would be surrounded by chaos and bottom of their division with no chance of making the playoffs, many NFL fans would dismiss these predictions and get on with the rest of their day.

But that is exactly what has happened. Going into the 2023 season, the Chargers were being billed as a team to watch, especially with quarterback Justin Herbert under centre.

The Chargers are now 4-6 for the season after a loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 11 in a story which is too familiar. The team blew another late lead yet again with four second half fumbles and a late Romeo Doubs touchdown sealed a 23-20 win for the Packers.

With the manner of these performances, Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is on the hot seat and if these on-field issues continue, then there is a very high chance Staley could be shown the door.

The Miami Dolphins restricted to just 20 points!?

Yes, you read that right, the Miami Dolphins scored just 20 points in their win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11.

It was not the prettiest of offensive performances from the Dolphins with the unit turning the ball over three times.

While getting the win was the most important thing for Mike McDaniel's team, putting up 422 yards on offense for just 20 points is dissapointing considering the talent on the field and if the unnecessary penalties and errors cannot be ironed out, then there could be some problems come playoff time.
