The Cardinals will have their starting quarterback soon.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has taken a big step towards returning to NFL action as he returned to practice on Wednesday.

The Cardinals have opened the 21-day practice window for Murray, who now has three weeks to be activated.

Murray announced he would be back on practice on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday.

With Murray out injured, the Cardinals have turned to Joshua Dobbs who has done a good job so far in 2023.

Dobbs started the season particularly strongly, but has since been guilty of throwing three interceptions in two straight games.

Murray suffered a season-ending knee injury in December 2022, tearing his ACL, which has kept him out of practice until now.

"He [Kyler Murray] told me, 'I'm practicing today,' and I said, 'Great, see you out there,'" said Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon.

Gannon also confirmed that safety Budda Baker returned to training on Wednesday.

Baker has been sidelined since injuring himself in practice ahead of their Week 2 loss to the New York Giants.
