Quarterback Baker Mayfield grabbed the early on-field and off-field headlines at this year's Pro Bowl Games.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star chalked up an early win for his NFC team in the precision passing challenge. Mayfield fought off his fellow NFC quarterbacks before defeating CJ Stroud in the final.
It was another positive for Mayfield in a season packed with success. The 28-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Buccaneers last summer. After challenging spells in LA and Carolina, Mayfield took an inexpensive deal and bet on himself.
After leading Tampa to a division title and a playoff win, Mayfield looks to have found a new home. However, when talking to reporters after his precision passing win, Mayfield remained tight-lipped on his future.
Mayfield told NFL Network, "It all just kind of depends. They (Tampa) were the first ones that gave me a chance, and (I'm) thankful for them. We'll see. Taking it one day at a time."
The experienced Mayfield is now a free agent, and could command a hefty fee for his services in 2024.
