During his time at the University of Louisville, Jackson became the youngest-ever winner of the Heisman Trophy when he picked up college football’s most prestigious individual award in 2016 at the age of 19 years, 338 days old.

Over his three years with the Louisville Cardinals he amassased 9,043 passing yards, threw for 69 touchdowns with 27 interceptions and a passer rating of 142.9. 

His dual-threat ability was also evident then, as he ended his college career with 4,132 rushing yards at an average of 6.3 yards per carry, scoring 50 touchdowns on the ground. 

After Jackson was drafted by the Ravens and took over as starting quarterback nine games into the season, following an injury to Joe Flacco. He led the Ravens to a 6-1 record and established himself as the team’s starter going forward. 

He would win the NFL MVP in 2019, as he threw a league-leading 36 touchdowns and broke the NFL records for rushing attempts (176) and rushing yards (1,206) by a quarterback.

Jackson ended uncertainty over his Baltimore future in April 2023, when he signed a new five-year contract worth $260 million with $185 million guaranteed, which made him the most-highly paid player in the league at that time.
