The Baltimore Ravens have been dealt a Week 1 injury blow as running back J.K. Dobbins has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
After scoring an early touchdown, Dobbins was tackled close to the endzone and hobbled off the field in the third quarter.
The immediate speculation was that Dobbins had injured his Achilles, and after scans the Ravens' worst fears were confirmed.
Dobbins missed the whole 2021 season after tearing his ACL in preseason and last campaign played in just eight games due to injury.
Who are the Ravens' back-up running backs?
Baltimore have two other fit running backs on their 53-man roster.
Top of the pile is Gus Edwards, who has also had his fair share of injury problems during his career.
The Ravens' other option is Justice Hill, who rushed in two touchdowns after Dobbins' departure against the Texans on Sunday.
