The 71-year-old’s 24-year spell at the Patriots came to a close at the end of the season.

Bill Belichick won’t be coaching in the NFL for the first time this millennium when the new season kicks off, but the legendary former Patriots chief appears to have a number of options for when the action starts up again.

The 71-year-old saw his 24-year stint at the Patriots come to a close at the end of last season, as back-to-back losing seasons, including a 4-13 finish last term, brought the curtain down on a stint which saw him win a record six Super Bowls.

Despite interviewing twice with the Atlanta Falcons over their head coaching job this offseason, none of the seven teams that have changed head coaches this year opted for Belichick.

His future - in the short-term at least - could now lie in television, as The Athletic report that Peyton Manning is trying to sign up Belichick for his Omaha Productions where a potential ‘Manningcast’ venture could be pitched.

Belichick is also believed to have met with CBS and NBC, although there is some hesitation as many believe that he will want to return to coaching in 2025, as he currently sits 14 wins behind Don Shula’s all-time record of 347 regular and post-season victories.
