Week 4 in the NFL begins with a matchup of two struggling teams.
Both the Denver Broncos and New York Jets have started the 2020 season with three straight losses, although the 0-3 record may be a harsh indictiment of one of those teams.
The Broncos' first two games were decided by two points and five points, respectively, with Denver looking competitive during each contest. Week 3 brought the Broncos' worst loss so far, a 28-10 defeat to the visiting Buccaneers, but head coach Vic Fangio now has a prime opportunity to finally engineer his team's first win of the season.
That's because — for as hard-luck as the Broncos have been in the opening few weeks of the campaign — the Jets have been outright awful and fully deserving of their winless start. A semi-decent opening day showing against the Buffalo Bills was followed up by thrashings at the hands of the 49ers and Colts — the latter game a 36-7 demolition that saw the Jets blanked over the final three quarters of play.
It's no surprise, then, that the Broncos are the experts' choice to be the team that comes away from Thursday's contest with its first win of the season.
