Projected first-overall pick Caleb Williams has made history at the NFL Scouting Combine.
The combine takes place this weekend. Prospects will participate in physical drills and mental tests and conduct interviews with teams.
Furthermore, teams also evaluate prospects' medical history. Per Jonathon Jones, Williams has declined to submit his medical information after declining to partake in physical drills.
Moreover, Williams has refused to participate in NFL teams' medical examinations. It is the first time in combine history that a prospect has declined to submit a medical history or undergo medical evaluations.
Therefore, Williams will only hold formal interviews with several teams. He has already met the Chicago Bears, and Williams stated that he would happily play in Chicago if the Bears drafted him.
Williams said, "If I get drafted by the Bears, I'll be excited. They have a talented team, a talented offense and defense. For anyone to be in that situation, I think they'd be excited."
But Williams' combine decisions could be a red flag. It is another twist as the NFL's road to the draft hits top gear.
