Chicago Bears got the better of the Tennessee Titans in their opening preseason game at Soldier Field.
Titans scored on the game's opening drive, Malik Willis impressing as he ran in the first touchdown of the day.
Chicago gave snaps to first choice quarterback Justin Fields, whose first pass to offseason acquisition DJ Moore resulted in a 62-yard touchdown.
Fields was at it again on his next drive, finding running back Khalil Herbert for a 58-yard score. In total Fields completed all three passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
A diving touchdown from Hassan Haskins levelled the score before a late Titans field goal gave them a 20-17 lead at half time.
But a brilliant performance from the Chicago defence coupled with three field goals from Cairo Santos put the Bears in control in the second half.
And despite two potential game winning drive for the Titans, neither Malik Willis or Will Levis could improve their chances of earning the back-up job by sealing a win for the AFC South side.
Next week the Bears travel to face the Indianapolis Colts while the Titans travel to Minnesota to play the Vikings.
