The Cincinnati Bengals are reportedly set to sign free agent tackle Trent Brown as they look to bolster their offensive line.
Former Patriots and Raiders tackle Brown saw his second stint in New England come to an end last season with just eight starts in the 2023 campaign as he struggled with injuries.
After reports stated that he was due to visit the Bengals on Tuesday, the NFL Network report that the 30-year-old is set to sign a one-year deal with the Bengals.
This should help fill a position of need for the Bengals, who have seen Jonah Williams depart for the Arizona Cardinals during free agency and the signing will no doubt be welcomed by quarterback Joe Burrow, who missed the final seven games of the 2023 season through injury.
Brown was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2015 and after three seasons in California joined the New England Patriots in a trade. He would win a Super Bowl ring in 2019 when the Pats defeated the LA Rams in Atlanta, before signing a big money free agency deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
After just 16 starts in two seasons, he was traded back to the Pats and now looks to become a key part of Burrow’s protection in Cincinnati.
