Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn is very familiar with the Dallas Cowboys.
The Commanders and Cowboys face off this week in Maryland for a match-up between divisional rivals that carries a bit of extra weight for Washington, as Quinn is in his first season in charge in the U.S. capital after spending the last three years as Cowboys' defensive co-ordinator.
When Quinn swapped Texas for D.C., he convinced former Cowboys Tyler Biadasz, Dorance Armstrong, and Dante Fowler Jr. to follow him to the Commanders, and the team has been better for it given their 7-4 start to the season.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys have struggled to a 3-7 record and have lost five straight games, and they'd surely love nothing more than to begin a turnaround by defeating Quinn and several of their old players.
However, Quinn says any possible ill feeling isn't mutual amongst the former Cowboy contingent in his team — they're too focused on ending their own two-game losing skid to be worrying about harbouring grudges against their old team.
“I mean, if it does [bother them], they ain't been showing it,” Daniels said. “So they been focused on how can we get better how can we improve and focus on ourselves.”
