Starting Wednesday, DAZN Canada viewers will be given an inside look at what it's like to be a rookie in the NFL with the launch of "Rookie Diaries."
A pair of highly touted draft picks from Canada — Chase Claypool and Neville Gallimore — will be the focus of the series, which features DAZN's Adnan Virk conducting interviews and behind-the-scenes looks as the duo embarks on their NFL journeys.
Claypool became the first Canadian since 2011 to be drafted as high as the second round when he was taken 49th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in April's NFL Draft. The Abbotsford, B.C., native is a wide receiver who played at Notre Dame and looks to break into a Steelers team that finished 8-8 last season.
Ottawa's Gallimore was taken 82nd overall by the Dallas Cowboys. He's a defensive tackle out of the University of Oklahoma.
"Rookie Diaries" launched Wednesday with "Getting to Know Chase Claypool" and "Getting to Know Neville Gallimore" — a pair of interviews conducted by Virk that serve as an introduction to the young Canadians. Next week, the series continues with a vlog-style documentary featuring the two rookies at their respective team training camps.
After the regular season ends, "Rookie Diaries" will again check in on Claypool and Gallimore with an overview of how each player fared throughout the campaign.
"Rookie Diaries" is shown on DAZN, which also live streams every NFL game and the RedZone channel. Sign up for a free trial here.
