The Denver Broncos had their way in "The Big Easy."
On the road, the Broncos trounced the New Orleans Saints, 33-10, at the Caesars Superdome under the national spotlight of Thursday Night Football. Javonte Williams rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns, while Denver's defense racked up six sacks and returned an interception for a touchdown as well to lead the Broncos' charge.
Denver took about a quarter to get going but once it started revving up, there was no taking their foot off the pedal. Three first-half field goals from Wil Lutz and Williams' initial rushing TD gave the Broncos a 16-3 lead entering halftime. Lutz' fourth field goal and Williams' second TD plumped that score up to 26-3 by the end of the third quarter to put the game well out of reach.
Having the game well in hand, the Broncos adding to the Saints' misery when Cody Barton returned a turnover to the end zone during the fourth quarter.
With the victory, Bo Nix and the Broncos improve to 4-3, with the win especially being sweet to Denver coach Sean Payton who formerly served as the head coach to the Saints.
Meanwhile, the Saints suffered their fifth straight loss and are now 2-5.
