Four teams remain in the race to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Las Vegas next month.

Just four teams still harbour dreams of winning Super Bowl LVIII following the Divisional Play-off round.

Both the AFC and NFC number one seeds remain in the chase for the Vince Lombardi Trophy after the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers progressed past the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers respectively.

Hoping to pull off an upset on enemy soil this weekend are the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions as the four remaining sides look to stamp their ticket to Las Vegas for the showdown at the Allegiant Stadium on February 11.

But whoever makes it, there will be plenty of narratives on display in Nevada. Here is a ranking of the remaining potential Super Bowl LVIII match-ups...

1. Baltimore Ravens vs Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are this year’s feelgood story and any neutral who watched the emotional scenes at Ford Field these past two weekends will be routing for the Lions to finally make it to the big game.

Lions fans’ are among the most embattled in the NFL, whether that’s play-off droughts or the scars from the 0-16 season in 2008, so unless you have a vested interest otherwise, who doesn’t want to see them in Vegas next month? In Dan Campbell they also have one of the most charismatic head coaches in the league who has earned the right to be in the spotlight of the world’s media.

Should they face the Ravens, revenge for their Week 7 thrashing will be on the menu.

2. Baltimore Ravens vs San Francisco 49ers

Whereas our number choice was made largely with the heart, this one is with the head. These are the two best teams in the NFL this season and Kyle Shannahan will be desperate to prove that the Niners’ Christmas Day defeat to the Ravens was merely a bad day at the office as their number one ranked offense took on the Ravens' number one ranked defense.

It would also feature two quarterbacks making their Super Bowl debuts and be a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, hopefully without the power failure this time.

3. Kansas City Chiefs vs San Francisco 49ers

Should the 49ers win on Sunday night, then they will face a recent Super Bowl rematch whoever they play. The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes got the better of Jimmy Garappolo and company in 2020’s Super Bowl LIV and a redo of this contest would hand Brock Purdy the chance to silence the doubters against the best quarterback of his generation.

Shannahan also has questions to answer, as he has so far followed up his Super Bowl LI heartache with the Falcons with a series of near-misses and needs to get the Niners over the hump to shed the ‘always the bridesmaid’ tag.

4. Kansas City Chiefs vs Detroit Lions

This would be a rematch of the Week 1 clash that saw the Lions pull off a 21-20 upset over the Super Bowl champions. A sloppy performance set the tone for the Chiefs' spotty regular season, but with they have shown significant improvements in recent weeks, with Mahomes finally able to call up his supporting cast on offense to help out.
