Former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has told NFL teams ‘I’ve got it all’ after he was snubbed during the first month of free agency.
Cook is a four-time Pro Bowler who enjoyed four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons with the Vikings before a disappointing 2023 campaign that saw him struggle for game time with the New York Jets, before signing with the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs.
After running the ball just 75 times last season the seven-year veteran remains without a team in an offseason that saw several high-profile running backs move teams.
But the 28-year-old still believes in his own ability
"I've got it all," Cook told KPRC 2. "The tools are still here. I didn't really get any reps last year. The legs are fresh, the resume speaks for itself.
“I’m still Dalvin Cook. I'm still that guy. For me, I don't like to toot my own horn. I just like to go up there and put my helmet on and line up on the grass.
"I'm gonna go earn my spot anywhere, wherever I go," Cook added. "So right now, for me, just kind of see how everything is going to fill out for everybody. And then you know me, I'll just sneak up on the scene."
Cook’s CV boasts of 6,207 career rushing yards and 47 touchdowns, while he has added another 1,872 receiving yards and five touchdown grabs.
This year’s free agency running back class was one of the best and deepest in recent memory with the likes of Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry, Aaron Jones, Josh Jacobs, Tony Pollard and Austin Ekeler all finding new homes this offseason.
