Former Welsh rugby winger Louis Rees-Zammit's next step in his journey to becoming an NFL player has become a little bit clearer with the 23-year-old set to sign a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rees-Zammit made the decision to switch sports at the start of the year and joined the NFL's International Player Pathway programme.
Following the completion of 10-week training camp, Rees-Zammit met with a number of NFL teams, and now it looks like the defending Super Bowl champions will be announcing the deal on Friday according to Bleacher Report's NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
There was also interest from the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos in Rees-Zammit.
However, he is now set to join a team which has dominated the NFL over recent seasons and successfully became back-to-back Super Bowl champions earlier this year.
