For the first time in its history, "Hard Knocks" features two teams.
With the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams set to move to the multi-billion dollar SoFi Stadium this season, the popular series will follow both teams as they make the transition into the spectacular new setting.
Both teams will be hoping that the change in scenery will lead to better results on the field, as neither was able to secure a playoff berth last season. The 5-11 Chargers will be happy to see a new season on the horizon, with Tyrod Taylor set to assume the reins as starting quarterback following the departure of longtime Charger Philip Rivers over the offseason.
As for the Rams, a winning record (9-7) wasn't enough to get them into the playoffs from a tough NFC West division. Head coach Sean McVay will look to use last year's experience to elevate his team back into the postseason after a one-season hiatus.
Unfortunately for both LA teams, history is not on their side as only five teams have made the playoffs immediately after being featured on "Hard Knocks." The 2015 Houston Texans were the last team to make the postseason after appearing on the show, so the Chargers and Rams will be aiming to reverse a bit of a curse at the same time as improving upon their own recent failures.
